Somatic Therapy

Somatic Therapy engages your body’s innate intelligence to access and process stored emotions, outdated beliefs, and unconscious patterns. By tuning into physical sensation rather than analyzing thoughts, this approach allows deep emotional and energetic layers to surface, release, and reintegrate.

Many of the tensions we carry — from anxiety, overwhelm, and addiction. Physical discomfort or emotional numbness — stem from survival adaptations we made in response to developmental or acute stress. These coping mechanisms become embedded in our bodies and personalities as traits, patterns of behavior, and even pain.

Unlike talk therapy, Somatic Therapy works from the bottom up — using sensation, movement, sound, and breath to access the subconscious to support lasting transformation. This cultivates supports nervous system regulation, emotional expression, and the recovery of lost or suppressed aspects of the self.

I support you to create your own toolkit for self-regulation and inner resourcing — Including practices for recognizing and tending to wounded parts, navigating emotional intensity, and empowering your ongoing healing journey.

What a Session Might Look Like: Curiosity. Compassion. Liberation.

Sessions begin with a grounding conversation to identify what's present in your body and life. From there, I’ll guide you into somatic processes designed to shift you from mental analysis into embodied awareness — using tools like breath, movement, and visualization to explore what's held beneath the surface.

Together we gently track sensations, emotions, images, or memories as they arise. You may be invited to speak, move, or feel through what’s emerging — creating space for release, clarity, and integration.

Each session unfolds organically, in deep respect for your body’s pace. The intention is always to return you to your own internal authority, truth, and ease.
